What if you could print a photo, directly from your mind?

[Mind]ography is an experiment that sits at the intersection of science and art. Created using fMRI brain scans and cutting edge machine learning technology, these images are the world’s first reconstructed memories.

These memories belong to Nicole Toum, a social worker from Sydney, Australia. Nicole's brain was scanned thousands of times as she looked at, and imagined images, teaching a machine learning algorithm to recognise her brain activity.

Then Nicole's brain was scanned as she recalled her memories, and the algorithm was able to create a visual reconstruction of what she was imagining.

"This is literally cutting- edge, mind-reading research" - Dr. Paul Scotti, Research Scientist, Princeton Neuroscience Institute
