What happens when you bring together a room full of creatives, a table set with glowing candles and gold frames, and the latest instax WIDE Evo™ camera? Total magic.

To celebrate the launch of the instax WIDE Evo™, we took over Good Luck in Sydney—an intimate, vibey spot where the food is next-level (think everything from lobster to spring rolls). But while the menu was a treat, the real star of the night? The cameras.

Hands-On With the instax WIDE Evo™

There’s nothing better than getting a new camera and instantly putting it to the test. Lucky for us, photographer Jack McLain was there to guide everyone through the instax WIDE Evo™’s coolest features—because this isn’t just any instant camera. With 10 lens effects, 10 film effects, and that dreamy metallic film (seriously, it looks incredible), the creative possibilities are endless.

From classic black & white shots to cinematic double exposures, guests experimented with it all. The WIDE format made capturing group shots, table flat-lays, and golden-hour portraits- some moments just need more space.

Instant Prints, Instant Joy

The best part? Watching everyone fall in love with their prints. You know that moment when you take a shot, the film slides out, and you wait for it to develop? That mix of excitement and anticipation never gets old. By the end of the night, tables were covered in prints—some perfectly framed, others delightfully unplanned (the best kind).

And when it was time to leave? Every guest took home their own instax WIDE Evo™ and a stack of memories, ready to create even more.

It was the kind of night that reminds you why we love instant photography in the first place—because some moments deserve to be more than just another snap in your camera roll.
