A fashion throwback to behind the lens with the mini 99
Our recently launched mini 99 was right amongst the year’s biggest showcase of Australian fashion recently, capturing all of the most stylish moments backstage and front row at the Viktoria & Woods, EM on Holiday and Albus Lumen fashion shows.
Making an entrance at the Albus Lumen show to kick off the week, we went behind the lens of the INSTAX mini 99 to capture every detail on and off the runway. Backstage was an exhilarating experience, filled with the rush and excitement of final touches before the new collection hit the runway. Models, designers, and stylists worked seamlessly together to ensure everything is perfect. As the lights dimmed and the music started, the backstage hustle transformed into a magnificent show, showcasing the transition from behind-the-scenes chaos to runway perfection.
Creative Director and Founder of Albus Lumen, Marina Afonina took inspiration from instant film with prints on t-shirts throughout the runway collection.
“I have always used instant film as a medium in my work as they are tangible and give me something to always reference to. Whether it’s when traveling, in fittings, doing castings, I use INSTAX as my medium of choice and am so thrilled to be working with them alongside my show,” said Marina.
Stepping into the runway next, we went behind the lens of the INSTAX mini 99 to capture Viktoria and Woods' effortless elegance in its first-ever fashion week show. The backstage preparation was calm and fun, filled with laughter and camaraderie as models, designers, and stylists worked together in anticipation of this milestone. The excitement was palpable, with everyone thrilled to be part of the brand's debut at fashion week.
The camera’s instant mini film prints beautifully showcased the sophistication of the collection, using the various light and colour filters. We captured every detail from behind the lens of the INSTAX mini 99 , from the poised models to the intricate designs, celebrating Viktoria and Woods' runway debut.

With its perfect blend of beachside charm and contemporary style, the mini 99 became the ultimate accessory for preserving the show’s vivid self-expression and seaside inspiration.
